SummerSlam is coming to Boston in 2020.
WWE announced via the Boston Globe today that next year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view will take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, August 23, 2020. The TD Garden will also host SmackDown, NXT TakeOver, and Raw in the days surrounding SummerSlam.

SmackDown will be on Friday, August 21, TakeOver will be on Saturday, August 22, and the four days will wrap up with Raw on Monday, August 24.
“We are thrilled to bring WWE’s biggest event of the summer to Boston in 2020,” WWE executive vice president for special events John P. Saboor said in a press release. “We are grateful to Mayor Walsh, Governor Baker and our partners at TD Garden and look forward to working with them to welcome the world to one of America’s great sports and entertainment cities.”
This will be the first time Boston has hosted SummerSlam since 2006.
The announcement comes in advance of the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada hosting SummerSlam 2019 this Sunday.
