Gianluca Di Marzio reports that West Ham are set to make Alphonse Areola’s loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain permament.
The 29-year-old French international arrived at the start of the season, with Keylor Navas and Gianluigi Donnarumma barring him from any game time in the French capital.
His performances have impressed the Hammers, who are now willing to make his move a long-term commitment and exercise the permanent option in the deal.
Despite only making the one appearance in the Premier League this season, the World Cup winner has been a fixture of the side’s cup campaigns, including a long run in the Europa League up to the semi-finals.
