Dan Biggar continues to flaunt his seemingly never-ending talents as he appeared on live stream in France and flexed his linguistic skills by speaking French throughout the interview.

The experienced Wales fly-half joined Toulon in October last year after leaving Northampton Saints.

Staying in Toulon

The 33-year-old has again demonstrated how quickly he’s picked up the language since moving to Toulon.

Biggar appeared on Toulon’s official Twitch channel to calm fears among fans that he would be leaving the club before the end of the season.

There was growing speculation that Biggar would be leaving Toulon early to join Warren Gatland’s Wales training camp ahead of the World Cup.

However, he confirmed that he would be sticking around to help the club push for silverware in the Top 14 and Challenge Cup.

He started Toulon’s Challenge Cup semi-final victory over Benetton and has helped the side to fifth place on the Top 14 standings with three league games left to go to cement a place in the play-offs.

“Fair play to Biggar, that’s an impressive standard of French after only six months in France,” a quote retweet read from Marina Gange on Toulon’s Twitter post read.

“Absolutely brilliant from Dan class act,” said rugby journalist & broadcaster Mike Pearce.

Fan favourite

He also impressed upon arriving at the club when he addressed the fans for the first time.

At a packed Stade Mayol, he delivered his entire speech in French, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

After the World Cup, he is set to stay at Toulon for another two seasons.

Therefore, Biggar has made a concerted effort to learn the language and revealed as much in an interview with Daily Mail in December.

“I’ve been watching Lupin on Netflix in French, with English subtitles,” he told the paper.

“My French teacher told me that’s a good way to learn so I’m a few episodes into the first series. Otherwise, I just stick on Tipping Point! It’s so far out of my comfort zone in terms of the language and trying to put my stamp on a team.”
