L’Équipe report this afternoon that Bordeaux manager Vladimir Petković has been suspended from his position ahead of his sacking.
Having overseen the club’s latest defeat – 5-0 against Reims – the former Swiss national team manager saw his team drop down to 19th place, and register the worst defence in the top five leagues with 58 conceded.
His assistant Antonio Manicone has also been suspended. Petković had a contract running with Bordeaux until 2024, which will instead end two and a half years early.
