Title Match Rumored to Take Place on Tonight’s WWE Raw (Updated)

As first announced at Sunday night’s WWE No Mercy pay-per-view, tonight’s episode of WWE RAW will open with Roman Reigns appearing on a special edition of MizTV alongside the Intercontinental Champion.

According to PWInsider, the Miz TV segment will be used to help set up an Intercontinental Title match for later in the night, although it remains unknown who The Miz will defend the belt against.

Nia Jax will also take on Bayley tonight, and there’s been some speculation that we could see Braun Strowman wrestle one half of the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions, Seth Rollins either this week or next. Newly crowned Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore will also be live on Raw to address his big win over Neville at No Mercy.

UPDATE: The Miz did not defend the Intercontinental title live on Raw this evening, however a championship match against Roman Reigns has been officially announced for October 2nd.
