WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura spoke with Gorilla Position over SummerSlam weekend, and during the interview, Nakamura opened up about the night he accidentally dropped John Cena on his head and neck during a match on Smackdown.
Nakamura would not reveal who it was backstage in WWE that yelled at him following the match, but he did reveal it was not John Cena.
“Someone was upset backstage, not John Cena,” Nakamura admitted. “But someone. They got pissed off at me, ‘why did you do that?’. So I just thought, my career is finished, today. But everybody came to support me and help me, even John Cena. [Cena said] ‘not your fault, it was my fault’.”
Also during the interview, Nakamura Shinsuke Nakamura talks about what he’d do if he wasn’t a wrestler, his favorite NXT memory and the differences in his character in WWE now that he is a heel. Nakamura also reveals that is indeed an actual artist, and shows off some of his artwork on his new Instagram page.
