Sasha Banks is undoubtedly one of the most popular members of the women’s division in WWE. At a very young age, Banks has already managed to have a ton of memorable moments and matches during her WWE career. Fortunately for fans, Sasha Banks will not be going anywhere else any time soon. Per a recent tweet from WrestleVotes, Sasha Banks officially signed a brand new deal to stay with WWE some time last week. Sasha Banks has been involved in a feud with her former best friend Bayley over the past few months. Now that Sasha is staying in WWE, it looks like the rivalry can continue. No word on how long Sasha’s new deal is for, but the initial tweet seemed to indicate that it is a multi-year deal.
Contract news: hearing that Sasha Banks has re-signed to remain w/ WWE within the last week or so. She will continue to be a key part of the women’s division for years to come. Sasha certainly earned her new deal. She moves lots of merchandise & the young fans love her.

It was reported online yesterday by multiple sources that WWE and Fox have come to an agreement which will see Smackdown officially move to the Fox network on Friday nights starting next year. With the deal said to be worth over $1 billion over the next few years, some huge changes are expected to be made to WWE creative as a result. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer noted that this deal means that the company will be making their TV shows their main priority. Matches typically saved for WWE Network specials may end up moving to Raw or Smackdown over the next few years. Expect to see a major shift in the way that WWE does business as TV ratings will become the main focus of the company.
The planned Money in the Bank qualifying match between Big Cass and Samoa Joe for tonight’s Smackdown was recently cancelled by WWE. As a result, a match between Jeff Hardy and Daniel Bryan will be taking place on Smackdown tonight to determine a new Money in the Bank ladder match participant. According to a tweet sent out by WrestleVotes, WWE has been planning to have a United States Championship match during the Money in the Bank pay-per-view next month. This likely means that Hardy will lose tonight’s match against Daniel Bryan and will instead defend his title in a different match during the show. Regardless of who wins tonight, the winner will have to face Samoa Joe to secure a spot in the match next week.
Regarding Smackdown tonight, as of last week a US Title match was planned for Money In The Bank. With that said, I’m not expecting a Jeff Hardy win tonight unless those prior MITB plans have changed. I guess he could theoretically win & lose to Joe next week but we’ll see.
