I got a set of soccer goalposts when I was 5 or 6. Santa was an amazing man to put them together in the dark and fit them with nets.

A snooker table (but I was always a bit miffed that Santa brought me the one with the plastic pockets rather than the proper ones) and a Euro ’96 edition of Subbuteo. The painstaking skill involved in ironing the cloth prior to a game should not be underestimated.

A wrestling ring and a couple of wrestlers was the highlight, not only of my sports Christmas presents, but possibly of my entire life.
