The 21-year-old beat out her famous sisters (yes, even Kim Kardashian) for a spot on Forbes’ s annual “Top 10 of America’s Wealthiest Celebrities in 2018” list that was released on Tuesday. With a net worth of $900 million, the reality star tied for fifth with Jay-Z, thanks to her beauty empire, Kylie Cosmetics, of which she owns 100 percent.
Topping the list this year was Star Wars creator George Lucas (at $5.4 billion) followed by Steven Spielberg (at $3.7 billion), Oprah Winfrey (at $2.8 billion), and Michael Jordan at ($1.7 billion).

Though impressive, Jenner’s inclusion on the list should come as no surprise to anyone. As Forbes mentioned, the beauty mogul is well on her way to becoming “the youngest self-made billionaire ever.”
Back in July, the Kylie Cosmetics founder graced the cover of Forbes’ “Richest Self-Made Women” issue after earning the 27th spot (her big sister Kim was #54) thanks to her almost-billionaire status. While the achievement was well-earned, many people on the internet took issue with the star being labeled as “self-made” given the leg up she received from the visibility of her famous family.

However, big sis Kim fiercely defended Kylie and her achievement, telling Refinery 29, “I really didn’t get it, because she is ‘self-made’ – we are all ‘self-made.’ What, because we came from a family that has had success? To me, that doesn’t really make sense.”
She continued saying, “We might have the opportunity, but I’ve seen it go the complete opposite way. Nobody works harder than my sisters and my mom.”
Work hard, play hard, right?
