The Lok Sabha elections are underway and the sixth phase will take place on May 12. The same day, Delhi will also go to polls and to cater to the demand of the voters and officials, the Delhi Metro will run its trains two hours earlier than regular timing so that the staff deployed for election duty can avail the facility for travelling.

Instead of 6 AM the train services will begin from 4am, an official statement read.

“On the day of the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi on May 12, 2019 (Sunday) the Delhi Metro train services on all Lines will start from 4am so that the staff deployed in election duty can avail the facility,” the release said.
