Ligue 1 outfit Dijon have confirmed the signing of Cédric Yambéré from Bordeaux for an undisclosed fee, on a two-year deal.

After spending the first half of the season on loan out in Russia with Anzhi Makhachkala, and the second in Greece with APOEL Nicosia, Yambéré has completed a permanent deal away from Bordeaux.

Yambéré said, “Dijon showed a real interest in me. The challenge is interesting and the club trusts me. My choice was quick.”

Dijon’s head of recruitment, Sébastien Larcier added, “That (Yambéré) was what we lacked in defence last season. His athletic dimension, his aggressiveness, his ability to win the duels, are very interesting. In addition, he has some experience of the Ligue 1.”
