– Jonathan Coachman will replace JBL as a color commentator on SmackDown. One would assume that this means that Coachman is finished as an on-screen character on RAW.
– WWE has announced that they will be releasing the following DVDs in 2008:
* The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin – 02/12/2008
* Triple H: King of Kings – 03/25/2008
* Evolution of the Hardys – 05/06/2008
* The Rock – 06/03/2008
* Best of Starrcade – 07/08/2008
* Summer Slam Anthology – 08/05/2008
* Life and Times of Mr. Perfect – 08/05/2008
* Edge – 11/04/2008
* Randy Savage: Macho Madness – 11/18/2008
* Sting – 12/09/2008
– The Sting and Randy Savage DVDs will be especially interesting as it will be the first time that the company has ever done anything on them. If Sting does agree to terms on a new TNA contract (which he is expected to do) it will be interesting to see if WWE still decides to release the DVD.
– The plan right now is for the Ric Flair retirement angle to continue on television during the road to WrestleMania as he is not scheduled to work any house shows. This could always change, however, is what WWE is going off of right now.
– WWE has announced that tickets for their Backlash pay-per-view will go on sale February 16, 2008. Backlash will be held at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland on April 27th.
