2018 has been a fantastic year for Volleyball with the world championships taking place in Italy and Bulgaria. Opposite
USA’s Matt Anderson is the pick in opposite. The 31 year old has been a key member of the side since 2007, that has included their 2015 victory at the world cup. In the same year he was awarded the most valuable player for the USA. At club level he currently plays for Zenit Kazan.
Setter
Another USA player makes the team in Micah Christenson. The 25 year old looks to be one of the rising stars for the national side. At club level he currently plays for Italian side Modena. He was also a member of the 2015 world cup winning side.
Libero
Poland’s Pawel Zatorski was awarded best libero for his performances at the world championship, so must make the side. The 28 year old was also a key member of the 2014 winning side four years previous. He currently plays for Polish club side ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle.
MVP
Poland’s Bartosz Kurek was recently awarded MVP at the world championships. The 30 year old has long been one of the leading stars in the sport. He has played in the side since 2007 and has been a key part of the national sides success. At club level he currently plays for ONICO Warszawa.
