In speaking to Sky Italia on PSG’s goalkeeping situation, PSG sporting director Leonardo suggested that he would happily make a decision between potential first-choice options, Keylor Navas and Gianluigi Donnarumma, explaining: “When the time comes, we’ll have no problem making a decision.” Leonardo said:
“The situation has been clear from the start. We had a goalkeeper in Navas who was doing very well and we were very happy but Donnarumma has become one of the best goalkeepers in the world – it was a move that had to be done despite the presence of Navas. We have to manage them both and we’ve tried to give rhythm and continuity to both of them. They know the situation clearly. When the time comes, we’ll have no problem making a decision, there’s a good one for everyone.”
Both players have recently expressed their dissatisfaction over the current rotation policy employed by the club amid reports that Donnarumma will be kept as first choice despite interest from Juventus.
