As reported by L’Équipe, in speaking after PSG’s 5-0 win over Metz last night and ensuing title celebrations after Kylian Mbappé agreed a new contract at the club, Paris’ Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas explained he planned on staying at PSG for next season despite reports he wouldn’t be first choice.

Navas told Amazon Prime Video that he wanted to “continue” in Paris, saying “I still have two years of contract left.”

This season, Mauricio Pochettino has rotated between Navas, now 35, and 23-year-old Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma but the French media have reported that Donnarumma is set to be made undisputed first choice next season.

Juventus have been interested in the Italian but he recently confirmed he will be staying in Paris for next season. For Navas, much will depend on who becomes the new sporting director after Leonardo was sacked last night, and new coach, with Mauricio Pochettino likely to soon follow.
