Speaking as part of the latest Presidents Podcast episode exclusively on Get French Football News, OGC Nice CEO Bob Ratcliffe reflected on some of the club’s signings from last summer, including Stanley N’Soki from PSG and Kasper Dolberg from Ajax.
“I think with Dolberg, we were just starting to see a very good rhythm before it all stopped. Kasper Dolberg strikes me as a player with significant potential, I find him a very elegant player. I am a layman in football, but he wasn’t getting enough service, which is something we need to work on, but he is a very elegant player, a very professional player. I think (Alexis) Claude-Maurice, when you bring someone who is really good in the second division, you see it is the same when people come to the Premiership, it takes a season to get acclimatised. I think he was beginning to get acclimatised, and he is quite an exciting, technical player. I think (Hicham) Boudaoui was a revelation, I think he is a real talent and he is also quite tough. I remember him getting kicked in the head and he sort of just shook himself off and picked himself up. I like that sort of attitude. And then we have Stanley N’Soki, there’s occasions when he goes on a run and it is like parting the red sea, it is a bit like Yaya Touré. I think there is a lot of potential in Stanley there and that’s exciting.”
