In the latest trip to the Coach’s Corner, Brandon Eggum shares his excitement about the major upgrades to student-athlete facilities at the University of Minnesota.
Eggum discusses two major projects. The first is the Athletes Village, which is currently under construction. The centerpiece facility in this project is the new Land O’Lakes Center for Excellence, which will have a positive impact on the everyday lives of all Gopher student-athletes. This facility will include an expanded academic center, a nutrition center to provide both healthy food and dietary guidance to student-athletes, and a leadership development center focused on helping student-athletes prepare for success in life after graduation. The second project Eggum discusses is a future wrestling facility, which will dramatically increase the space Gopher wrestlers have to train and practice, giving the Gopher Wrestling program a first-class development facility.
