Speaking at his unveiling press conference as the new manager of FC Nantes, Claudio Ranieri had some brief remarks to say about the move.
“I am very happy to be here. I know Nantes from football. I want to do great things here. I know the fans here, they are fantastic. I came to the Beaujoire when I was in charge of AS Monaco. The atmosphere was incredible… The infrastructure is very good. I am very happy. The pitch is fantastic as well. The transfer window? I only arrived yesterday, each thing in its own time.”
Ranieri was invariably asked about Leicester, and had the following to say:
“Leicester was fantastic. The love that people gave me there was incredible, but I need to separate what happened over there. Now, it is Nantes. I have to work with humility with the desire to do something good. Leicester was unique and I am coming to a club that has won eight titles. I am very honoured to be the manager of Nantes.”
