Our hearts go out once again to the victims of yet another senseless act of mass violence. Time reports that 84 people were killed and dozens more were injured on Thursday when a truck ripped through a crowd of revelers gathered for Bastille Day fireworks in the southern French city of Nice. The world erupted almost immediately in shared heartbreak, and took to their Twitter and Instagram accounts with their condolences as well as their cries of grief and outrage.

As the news spread, celebrities like Kim Kardashian West, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Priyanka Chopra, and Miley Cyrus expressed their sadness in a variety of forms—from long, heartfelt messages to nothing more than an image displaying France’s familiar national colors: red, white and blue. Amy Schumer summed up what most of us are feeling with a powerful one-word tweet, “Enough” along with the hashtag #PrayForNice. Keep reading to see more celebrity reactions to the awful events.
