Cardi B is absolutely no stranger to bold nail looks, so when the "WAP" singer debuted her own dramatic take on the classic French manicure this week, we couldn't help but smile because it's just so inextricably her.
The 28-year-old rapper showed off her latest nail look on Instagram, both on her grid and on her Story in a promotional video for Bellesa — a brand that makes sex toys exclusively for women. In the clip, while showing off one of Bellesa's products, Cardi's nails are on full display and you can see that she opted for ultra-long white tips, rather than the traditional thin strip that's famously associated with the French manicure.
The singer's super long tips definitely add a modern feel to the timeless nail look, and well, it's unlike any style of the French manicure that we've seen this year. That being said, Cardi B certainly isn't the only celebrity who's experimented with the popular nail look in 2020. Stars like Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Kourtney Kardashian — to name just a few — have all taken the trend and made it their own in one way or another.

A Riverdale, Georgia-based artist by the name of Michelle created this next-level manicure for Cardi, so definitely go follow her for more inspiration, stat. If you want to get a similar effect at home, you'll need some extra long square-shaped acrylic nails (like these from Amazon), as well as an opaque white nail polish, such as OPI's Alpine Snow. You may also want to get a fine line brush, as this will help you achieve a really precise finish.
Needless to say, we love this fun twist on the French manicure and can't wait to see what other nail looks Cardi B reveals before the end of the year.
