As reported by L’Équipe, Ligue 1 side Brest are working on a deal to sign 25-year-old Benin international striker Steve Mounié from Championship club Huddersfield Town.
Under contract with the Championship side until June 2021, Brest have gravitated towards the ex-Montpellier man after failing to convince Adrian Grbic to join from Clermont – he chose FC Lorient instead.
Mounié has been told by Huddersfield that he is free to leave this summer, but the fee required of Brest is currently unclear.
Now, the player has to be convinced.
