BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead junior wrestler Blake Bosch has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week, the league announced on Monday. It is Bosch’s second honor of the 2015-16 season.
Bosch improved to 28-5 on the season with a 15-2 major decision win over Mary’s Tate Barnhardt at 133 pounds in the Dragons’ 23-9 dual win on Sunday. Bosch is ranked No. 2 in the nation at 133 and is the top-ranked wrestler in Super Region 3 in that class. Barnhardt entered Sunday’s matchup with Bosch with a record of 24-9 and was ranked eighth in the region.
The junior from Wishek, N.D., has won 20 matches in a row and leads the Dragons in wins this season.
Bosch and the Dragon wrestlers compete at the Super Region 3 tournament on Saturday and Sunday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
