The Lone Wolf, Baron Corbin recently spoke with Cultaholic about being a WWE homegrown talent and his new role as the Raw General Manager. Below are some highlights of the interview and above is the full video of the interview.
On being a homegrown talent:
“I am homegrown, WWE from day one. You come in with a target on your back, people make assumptions that I don’t know about wrestling and people get that misconception, especially guys that have been doing it for 10-15 years but you just have to prove them wrong.”
On wanting people to succeed
“I think everybody wants everybody to be successful if AJ Styles is more successful that makes the whole company that makes a guy like me more successful. If I step in the ring with a guy like AJ Styles, they immediately associate you with that level.”
On his new role and what authority figure he admires:
“It’s awesome, I went to being the GM who can make matches and do whatever I want. You have a guy like me with a little bit of an ego and a little bit of an anger issue, what’s not to love about that? I mean, Vince, you look at what Vince has done he is at the top of the mountain and there is a reason he is there, you look at a guy like that you try to be like them as much as you can.”
