PSG centre-back Abdou Diallo (26) could leave the Parc des Princes this summer and is of interest to Italian side AC Milan, who are looking to bolster their defensive options, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano is reporting that the Serie A champions’ interest in the Senegalese international precedes the current transfer window. He was already on Paolo Maldini’s list back in January.

Signed from Borussia Dortmund back in 2019 for a reported €32m fee, Diallo was restricted to just 12 Ligue 1 appearances last season and has seen himself fall down the pecking order at the Parisian side.

AC Milan aren’t the only suitor. According to Romano, he has “many proposals” and he will make a decision on his future soon. Having missed out on Sven Botman (22), whose transfer to Newcastle from Lille was confirmed on Tuesday, Milan are scouting alternatives in the defensive department, and Diallo has reportedly made the shortlist.
