“Karen Handel, living the high life,” the commercial ends. “She’d fit right in in Washington.”
DCCC spokeswoman Meredith Kelly said the spot aims to illustrate Handel’s “losing repeatedly and living high on the taxpayer dime.”
Ossoff’s campaign will also launch a series of clips promoting the former congressional aide Thursday, the newspaper reported.
Ossoff and Handel will meet in a runoff in June after neither candidate captured a majority of the vote for an outright win on Tuesday.
The Democrat led a crowded 18-candidate field to replace Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.
Democrats heavily pushed Ossoff before Tuesday’s vote, casting the race as a referendum on President Trump in hopes of turning the reliably red district blue.
Trump repeatedly attacked Ossoff’s record before the vote, saying he would be a “disaster” in Congress.
