WWE and NBC Sports both made the shocking announcement earlier today that Jeff Jarrett will be going into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Jarrett has made a ton of friends and has garnered a lot of support over the course of his long career in the business, so it’s only fitting that quite a few people have already paid their respects and have congratulated “Double J” on his tremendous honor. First and foremost, Triple H took to Twitter to praise Jarrett’s accomplishments not long after the initial announcement was made. Triple H stated that Jarrett had a decorated career and also noted that Jeff Jarrett additionally also worked to create opportunities for others during his career.

Actor and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette also took some time to congratulate Jarrett on entering the Hall of Fame this year. Jarrett worked alongside Arquette during his brief run in World Championship Wrestling back in the year 2000. They both played huge roles during the final years of the promotion, but Jarrett himself played a huge role in getting what is currently known as Impact Wrestling off the ground. Impact also congratulated the founder of the promotion after WWE announced him for the Hall of Fame.The promotions formerly known as TNA Wrestling even tagged WWE in the tweet in which they acknowledged Jarrett’a accomplishments.

Jarrett himself recently spoke on going into the Hall of Fame when asked about the subject by NBC Sports. The former WCW Champion seemed just as surprised as fans have been today when he was initially approached by the company by the offer to join the Hall of Fame.“Quite frankly I’ve thought about that. Who am I? Why am I going in now? They asked and I had to do a head-scratcher because it was literally a shock. There are less than 200 wrestlers in the Hall of Fame and you think about the thousands of guys that have laced up the boots and I’m going to be one of those 200. It just doesn’t seem right in my brain.” Jarrett will be joining Ivory and the Dudley Boyz in the Hall of Fame this year as the class will be headlined by Goldberg. The Hall of Fame takes place on April 6th in the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
