ST. PAUL – Olympic wrestler and New Ulm native Ali Bernard now spends her days spreading what she believes is a very important message.

“It’s okay… it’s feminine to wrestle. You don’t have to worry if you’re a girl or a boy. Everyone is invited to wrestling,” said Bernard.

That door opened in part to Bernard’s career, which included two Olympic appearances in 2008 and 2012. Now she hopes to inspire other young girls while trying to give back to the sport that gave her so much.

“It’s not about making the next Olympic champion. It’s about growing and developing as a person,” said Bernard. View/continue reading at www.kare11.com
