There is a huge Raw on Monday in Sacramento as they are taping for both a live show and doing the 12/24 show. There is a lso a Smackdown house show in Stockton on Monday.

F4W NEWSLETTER: Figure Four Weekly: The revitalization of the new Daniel Bryan
When Daniel Bryan announced his emotional return to the ring, it was fairly inconceivable that he’d end up being a vicious and pompous environmentalist heel just eight months later. But the character change has revitalized Bryan and taken him to the highest points since the immediate aftermath of announcing his comeback. With Bryan completely buying into the change, “the new Daniel Bryan” has been far better in execution than it would have sounded on paper.

FRIDAY NEWS UPDATE
Garrett Gonzalez and I will be doing shows tonight and tomorrow night since Bryan is wrestling tonight in Seattle and doing a Q&A tomorrow. Tonight we’ll cover ROH and whatever comes out of that, perhaps MLW, Bellator and more. I’ll be doing shows with Bryan Sunday and Monday night. You can also send questions for both nights to [email protected].
For WWE this weekend, Ronda Rousey is not listed on the Raw shows in Nashville nor Bakersfield. I didn’t see Nia Jax listed either so they may be working on their PPV match. Daniel Bryan and Rey Mysterio aren’t working Oakland tomorrow night, but Randy Orton is. All three are listed for Stockton on Monday and television on Tuesday.
Remember marathon shows on Monday and Tuesday beacuse WWE is doing no tapings next week due to Christmas. Sacramento on Monday will have to be around a six-hour show and Fresno on Tuesday will be close to five hours. They will run live and then immediately tape the show for Christmas Eve and Christmas night. Both shows this week in theory should be up coming off the PPV, and the expectation is that both shows next week will set record lows. You can throw out the ratings for the two weeks after this beacuse they really don’t count, but if they aren’t record lows, that would actually be a surprise.
Regarding WWE departures, Nick Miller returned to Australia when his baby was born and decided to stay. The door is not shut on his returning if he chooses to. The story about Taishan Dong being one is true but that is actually from some time back. Tucker from the U.K. was also taken off the web site but we don’t have any information past that.
New Japan’s final show of the year starts at 4:30 a.m. Eastern tonight with the dream tag match of Hiroshi Tanahashi & Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi. Expect some angles on the show given it’s the last full show until the Tokyo Dome so it’s essentially their go-home show.
Bill Fralic, who was an NFL major star with the Atlanta Falcons and a huge pro wrestling fan and knew at least some of the WCW talent well, passed away earlier today at the age of 56. He had been battling cancer. Fralic was in the Battle Royal at WrestleMania II that included a number of NFL stars, and was the most focused on guy doing a program with John Studd.
