ROH & NJPW’s biggest show of the year, G1 SuperCard, just recently concluded inside of The World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City. As early as now, New Japan Pro Wrestling has already announced the schedule for their next event known as The Dontaku tour. The tour starts on Monday, April 22nd with The Road To Wrestling Dontaku Tour inside Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, before heading to The Hiroshima Green Arena Sub Arena on Friday, April 26th. Wrestling Dontaku takes place Friday, May 3rd inside The Fukuoka Convention Center.
In total, four title matches are already se to take place across the three shows. On April 22nd, Ryusuke Taguchi, Toru Yano & Togi Makabe will be defending their NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Titles against Bullet Club’s Hikuleo, Tanga Loa & Tama Tonga. On April 26th, SHO & YOH will be defending their IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles against Shingo Takagi & BUSHI. Finally, May 3rd will see two new champions defend their belts as Jeff Cobb will be defending his NEVER Openweight Title against Taichi while Dragon Lee will be defending his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title against former champion Taiji Ishimori.
