Ligue 1 side OGC Nice today confirmed the contract extension of 27-year-old Argentinian goalkeeper Walter Benitez, for a yet to be disclosed length of time, reported by L’Équipe to be a 3-year deal.

Benitez, who had attracted admiring glances from Premier League side Wolves in recent months, was due to be a free agent next month when his previous deal was due to expire.
Speaking following the announcement, Benitez said:
“This was the thing to do for my career. I feel very good here. A great project began last year with INEOS. This is a great club in France but also abroad. This is very positive.”
