Speaking to Ouest-France, Angers Sporting Director Sebastien Larcier moved to deny claims from Norwegian media that his Ligue 1 club were going to be signing 21-year-old midfielder Emil Bohinen from Stabaek.

“Bohinen is not the right profile, not the sort of deep-lying player that we are looking for. He is more capable of playing box-to-box… It is a profile that was offered to us at the very beginning of the window. I have also seen that he has been announced in the press here and there but from our side, we have not made any contacts. He is an interesting player but he does not correspond with what we are looking for.”
Angers are looking to replace Baptiste Santamaria in midfield.
