In speaking before Lille’s 2-1 loss at home to Monaco last night, Lille’s American striker Timothy Weah explained that he isn’t happy with his or the club’s season. After winning the title last year, LOSC have slumped to tenth under Jocelyn Gourvennec while the 22-year-old is yet to score this campaign. Weah said:

“As a professional player, I’m never satisfied. You can always do better, score goals, make more assists. Personally, I’m not happy. Fortunately, I’m still young and I have time to progress in my game. I’ll continue to work and to learn.”

“There are other matches to play, we’ll try to win them for the fans and the club. Individually, the goal is to finish well, the past is the past… In the end, we can’t change anything, we have to keep playing hard over the next few matches and keep fighting.”
